When you hear people saying Great Futures start at the Boys & Girls Club, they aren’t kidding!  Before having an exceptional career playing for Allen High School and DeSales University, Darnell Braswell played basketball at the Boys & Girls Club of Allentown.  Braswell benefited from being able to play with and against talented players from all over the city at such a young age.  He fondly remembers the sense of camaraderie and teamwork Coach John Venus encouraged among his players.

When Braswell wasn’t on the court, he enjoyed playing pool in the Club’s Games Room, which has been updated by the Andre Reed Foundation!  Once kids are able to safely play basketball at the Club again, we look forward to welcoming him back to the Club and having him speak with current teams.  Everyone at the Club will be rooting for Braswell and the Canaries this season!
