The Boys and Girls Club of Allentown (BGCA) is pleased to announce that, once again, the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association (GLVADA) is supporting our efforts to provide quality educational opportunities to our members. A check of $3,000 was presented by Mr. Rob Bennett, Chair of their Donations Committee and member of GLVADA Board of Directors, at their Fall General Membership Meeting, to BGCA’s Grant Writer Debbie Kolp. Rob is the owner/dealer of the Bennett dealerships, including: Bennett Toyota, Bennett Infiniti of Allentown, Jaguar Land rover of Allentown, and Bennett Maserati of Allentown.
This generous donation will support BGCA’s Literacy 4 R Youth classes at our Sixth Street Clubhouse this school year. The program has three main components: Homework Help, Computer Lab support, and Reading Group Activities that work hand in hand, together providing academic support to our at-risk youth, on a daily basis.
The GLVADA is the trade association representing 63 franchised new auto dealerships covering 92 franchises in the Greater Lehigh Valley area. In addition to promoting their members and assisting these businesses being as successful as possible, they strive to support their community, local businesses, and the families who work for them.
We are most grateful for GLVADA’s generosity in past years and collaboration in other BGCA educational programs. Our Board and staff greatly appreciate this valuable partnership. Many thanks to GLVADA!
